Being Ordinary by Choice

One of the most delightful things of all time is to walk down the memory lane. Irrespective of which stage of life you are into, reviving into incidents, people, situations, times, etc. recharges your mood and day, without a doubt J I genuinely feel that this attraction towards old and especially childhood memories is because of its authenticity. Childhood times are unalloyed for each one of us. The innocence that we carry into our behavior, our physical or mental state of being is unmatched, solely because it is super concentrated by purity and absolutely undiluted. If things, people and time would have been the same today, we might not have valued these old memories as much as we do today. Things change, people change and so time for betterment, as Change is the only constant. But I guess we have misinterpreted its intended meaning. Reference to context of a saying or a quotation is equally important as its meaning. This “Change” is for our adaptability, technology, proces...

Why Me?

This is a small attempt to elaborate one of the forwards I received recently in my social media account. These are based on real life incidents so hopefully it will turn the needle of our thought process. Incident 1 Way back in 1983, a very renowned American Tennis Player Arthur Ashe was diagnosed with AIDS, which he got due to infected blood he received during a Heart Surgery.  One day, he received a letter from one of his fan. With a deep sense of grievance, the content had a question for Arthur as to why God picked him for such a fatal disease. Before I pen down Arthur’s response to this question, I would like to admit that his answer was much more prestigious and respectable than his three Grand Slam titles, Wimbledon title, US open trophy and so on... put together. Being a celebrity to millions is not only about awards, recognition , fame, red carpets, etc. It is equally about how to absorb all these successes and still be human and deep rooted with values. Art...

Manifest your feeling

A Short Story, There was a boy named Rahul. He was to appear in his 12 th grade board examination in couple of days. Like most other students, he wasted his year in doing nothing. The examination day was at doorstep and he was now realizing that more than the result which he will have to face, he lost those precious days of practicing perseverance to get through any small or big milestone in life. As certain, the result was not in his favor. He was destroyed within himself. He managed to gain courage to show his result to his parents. His parents’ reaction was obvious. They kept lamenting over his result and lost time. It is indeed true that we realize about importance of things, time and even people when it is gone. Rahul was bound to understand what he lost. He tried to combat the situation but somehow self-condolences went in vain. Days went by, Rahul was heading towards utter silence. After few months, one day his father was back from his work and called Rahul in ...

None Other Than - MSD

He came, He saw, He thought, He conquered… Cricket is a religion in a country like ours. We see our cricket players as warriors, not just a sportsman.  For initial couple of decades, cricket in India was majorly confined with players from Metro cities like Bombay, Madras, Delhi and Bangalore. To encourage talents and skills from other cities and especially villages was occasional as well as unwanted. While we were busy enjoying golden era of legends like Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman, God was (in back-end) preparing a complete package for Indian cricket lovers J There cannot be any comparison between these legends and MSD or between any two cricketers same like the Sun and the Moon cannot be compared. Every player is different and so is their time. Captaining a side having Stalwarts like Sachin, Dravid, Ganguly as team was a matter of privilege for him. He had never been disrespectful for his seniors and still had the courage to s...

KARMA v/s DESTINY

Mythology is a very interesting and meaningful subject, be it a story of Lord Krishna or Lord Rama. Though I have very shallow knowledge of it, I believe that Lord Rama is more respected but Lord Krishna enjoys staunch favoritism. Sole reason of this, is his multi-dimensional character. He knew when and where to use truth, justice and politics. If we glance at his life, it is self-explanatory to an extent. His existence as Human Avatar is with a purpose which we all know. I often ask questions of Lord Krishna’s life incidents to my mother (as she is the most knowledgeable in the family when it comes to mythology). The biggest question I have about his life is his birth. Why did he take birth as 8th child of Devaki and Vasudeva instead of coming foremost? He could have taken birth as 1st child of Devaki and Vasudeva and protect mankind from the cruelty of Kansa quite early. After all the conversations and arguments, my mother ends up saying, those people had to face their destiny and...

What gets you going!!

“Small passionate eyes have the strength to convert dreams into reality”. My eyes started wooing my dream career before few years. The dream was not too big to get noticed by everyone and appreciate but personally, it was at the height from where I wanted to kick off. While working as an IT professional since last 3 years, it feels GREAT !!! Why?? Here is the answer on broad spectrum… ·          We do not have the privilege to save people’s life like a doctor, but we surely have the pride for giving all high-front/back end medical diagnostics tools which acts as doctors right hand. ·          We do not carry any creative ideas to make people’s house beautiful like what architect/Interior designers do, but we definitely have the advantage of topping people’s home with smartly designed and miniaturized machines (home appliances, entertainment gadgets, etc.) which can work so efficiently that it c...
